Anvir Bashundhara Group Foundation extends helping hand to burn victim Rakib

Anvir Bashundhara Group (ABG) Foundation has provided financial assistance for the treatment of Rakib Hossain, a day labourer from Sonakhali village in Mathbaria upazila of Pirojpur, who suffered severe burn injuries after being electrocuted while cutting a tree.   

The financial support was handed over to Rakib's family on Sunday at the National Institute of Burn and Plastic Surgery in the capital, where he is receiving treatment.

Following the instructions of the chairman of the Anvir Bashundhara Group Foundation, the foundation's coordinator, Md Amir Hossain Mia, handed over the financial assistance to Rakib's father Abdur Rahim.

Expressing gratitude to the Anvir Bashundhara Group Foundation, Abdur Rahim said, "My son suffered severe injuries after coming into contact with an electric wire while cutting a tree. Parts of his body were burned. I gave him first aid in the village before bringing him to Dhaka for treatment. As our family could not afford the medical expenses, I shared our situation on Facebook. Later, Anvir Bashundhara Group Foundation contacted us. Today, they provided financial assistance for my son's treatment. I am very grateful to them. May Allah bless them." 

Anvir Bashundhara Group Foundation Coordinator Md Amir Hossain Mia said, "Following the instructions of the Chairman of the Anvir Bashundhara Group Foundation, we have provided financial assistance to Rakib Hossain's father to support his treatment and medication expenses. After seeing Rakib's condition through photos and reports on Facebook, the Chairman directed us to arrange the necessary treatment and assistance immediately. Anvir Bashundhara Group Foundation considers it a privilege to contribute to such humanitarian efforts."
