Anvir Bashundhara Group Foundation stands by river erosion victims

The Anvir Bashundhara Group (ABG) Foundation has distributed food assistance among distressed people affected by river erosion in Daulatpur upazila of Manikganj.

More than 300 people received 25kg of rice each at a programme held at a local school in the upazila on Wednesday afternoon.

Shaila Kabir, wife of Manikganj-1 MP SA Jinnah Kabir, attended the programme as the chief guest.

Among others, District Jubo Dal Convener Kazi Mostak Hossain Dipu, Joint Convener Asif Iqbal Rony, District Swechchhasebak Dal Joint Convener Kazi Nadim Hossain Tuel, Daulatpur Upazila Jubo Dal Member Secretary Abdus Salam and former Upazila Jubo Dal Vice-President Lokman Hossain were present at the programme, along with people from different walks of life.

The beneficiaries expressed gratitude for the assistance extended by the Anvir Bashundhara Group (ABG) Foundation.

Speaking as the chief guest, Shaila Kabir said, “We have always stood by the distressed and will continue to do so. The humanitarian assistance provided by the ABG Foundation is not confined to Manikganj; it extends across the country. Such humanitarian support will continue in Manikganj as well.”
