ABG continues support for river erosion victims in Manikganj

Anvir Bashundhara Group (ABG) continued its humanitarian assistance programme for families affected by river erosion in Manikganj, distributing essential food supplies to distressed households in Shibaloy upazila.

As part of the initiative, the organisation provided rice, lentils, cooking oil, salt and other daily necessities to affected families in the Somajghar area on Sunday afternoon. ABG also carried out a similar relief distribution drive in the Paturia area on Saturday.

Manikganj District Jubo Dal Convener Kazi Mushtaque Hossain Dipu attended the programme as the chief guest. Shibaloy Upazila Jubo Dal General Secretary Mizanur Rahman Liton, District Jubo Dal Joint Convener Aktaruzzaman and Asif Iqbal Roni, and District Sramik Dal Joint General Secretary Kazi Nadeem Hossain Tuhel, along with other leaders from the BNP and its affiliated organisations at district and upazila levels, also joined the event.

Beneficiaries expressed gratitude to ABG for standing beside them during the crisis. Despite light rain, recipients collected relief items in an orderly manner.

Several recipients said ABG consistently supports people during natural disasters and emergencies. They added that the distributed food supplies would provide temporary but essential relief for their families during a difficult period.
